Michael J. Prerau received his B.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence as well as his Masters in Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Computational Neuroscience from Columbia University.

He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Program in Neuroscience at Boston University, as well as a research associate in the Neuroscience Statistics Research Laboratory in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital.

His research interests include learning and memory, neural prosthetics, neural decoding, and the intersection of Neuroscience and Nanotechnology
