A SCREENING OF THE FILM
MY ARCHITECT

    Walking tour, 2 p.m. starting at the municipal builidng
    Film screening 3:30 p.m., also at the municipal building

The film My Architect tells the story of Lois Kahn, one of the 20th century’s greatest architects, who played an important role in designing our community at the start of his career.  The film is directed and produced by Nathaniel Kahn, Louis Kahn’s son. The screening will be proceeded by a walking tour, with a visit to the Ben Shahn mural, and followed by a discussion of the planning and architecture of Roosevelt.

 

 

 

 

 

JACOB LANDAU, OPEN STUDIO
WITH ART EXHIBIT

    Opening reception, 5-8 p.m.
    8 p.m. Concert by David Brahinsky and friends.

The exhibit will feature Jacob Landau’s original drawings, lithographs, woodcuts, and watercolors from his earliest days to 2001. The studio is at the dome at 30 Lake Drive.

ROOSEVELT STRING BAND

The Roosevelt String Band will perform a number of traditional songs as well as songs from current singer-songwriters such as Cheryl Wheeler, Tracy Grammer and many others. This year’s band includes David Brahinsky, Paul Prestopino, Ed Cedar, Sarah Houtz, Joe Pepitone, and Howie Jacobson.  A

ART FROM THE COLLECTIONS
OF ROOSEVELT ARTISTS

A rare opportunity to see works by Roosevelt artists held in private collections in Roosevelt.

 

DIRECTIONS:
Roosevelt is on Route 571 five miles east and south of the Peddie School in Hightstown.  As you enter town, going south on Route 571 (Rochdale Avenue), the munipal building where most events are held is the first building on your left. Continuing south on Route 571 past the post office, the next left is Lake Drive.

The Landau Studio is at number 30 Lake Drive.  The factory for the art exhibit in June is at the junction of Oscar Drive and North Valley Road.  Take Homestead Lane, which is your first left after the municipal building as you come into town, and go one block to North Valley Road. Turn left and the factory building is the last building on your left at the junction of North Valley Road and Oscar Drive.

Voluntary contributions are suggested at all RAP events, usually $5 per adult. At the String Band we suggest $10 per adult, $5 for seniors and children.
