COME AND ENJOY THE SONIC FESTIVITIES!
groundwave was formed in 1999 for the purposes of exploring sound and
performance in intimate settings, and is dedicated to the promotion of new
music and collaboration with artists in a variety of disciplines.
A musicircus is an event that was conceived by John Cage, and designed for
any number of musicians prepared to perform in the same place. The name
alludes to the three ring =B3circus=B2 in that several events take place
simultaneously. The indeterminate organization and simultaneity of these
musical performances creates extra-musical moments throughout the event.
