An MPP group-in-residence, counter)induction is a composer/performer collective committed to the notion that contemporary music can and should be both accessible and challenging. c)i celebrates the diversity of contemporary music by presenting the best, most innovative new music to both new and established audiences.

An MPP group-in-residence, the Daedalus Quartet (pronounced DED-a-lus) was founded in the summer of 2000, and one year later captured the Grand Prize of the 2001 Banff International String Quartet Competition, quickly establishing itself as among America’s outstanding string quartets.

The MPP welcomes its newest group-in-residence, New York Philomusica, which kicks off its residency this Fall semester 2009.
