String Quartet No.2
This dissertation consists of two parts. The first part is a musical composition for string quartet; the piece is in three movements with a duration of twenty-five minutes. The second part is an essay which discusses and analyzes the composition. The analysis focuses on a particular musical element for each movement of the piece, with the three main chapters examining form in the first movement, tonal language in the second movement, and rhythm and meter in the third movement.
