Professor Peter M. Susser in China
Peter M. Susser, Director of Undergraduate Musicianship, attended The Xi'an Conservatory of Music Ear Training Conference and Sight Singing Competition as a lecturer and judge from November 5-9, 2012. Susser also taught Master classes in improvisation and sight singing for actors at The Beijing Dance Academy.
Next to Susser is Prof. Wang Gaofei, Director of the Soffeggio Department.

What's Going On With The Pianos Around Here?
Big news over the summer. While many students and faculty were away, our decade-long loan/sale arrangement with a major New York piano retailer came to an end as that dealer shut its doors. We've had the benefit of more than 30 new (mostly Yamaha) pianos placed annually at Columbia on loan for 9 years, in conjunction with an annual sale event to which alumni have been invited.
With the closing of our retail partner, that sale will no longer happen. If you're an alumnus/a interested in purchasing a piano for your home, or someone who was looking forward to this year's piano sale, please see below for some important information.
