In early 1997 I composed an electronic score to a short film directed by Chris Young entitled "The End of Something". The film depicts a man and woman traveling together by car through upstate New York in the rain and focuses on their unraveling relationship.
The "theme" is the actual music from the opening and closing credits of the movie. The suite is a compressed musical journey through the story of the movie, including most of the theme (thus these two tracks need not be played as a unit). This soundtrack was written at the Columbia University Computer Music Center during the first two months of 1997.
